FRANK MELLING – STAND-UP COMEDY AT CHAPTER BREWING

Friday 28 April: 8.00pm. A celebration of bikes and beer

“Sex, Drugs and Rock ‘n’ Roll – How I Survived the 1960s Without Any of Them”.

It’s always said that if you can remember the 1960s you weren’t there. In this hilarious show, Frank Melling does remember growing up in Warrington, which was a zillion miles away from swinging Carnaby Street and Liverpool’s mighty Cavern Club.

He recalls the anarchy of working in British industry and the chaos as he learned how to be a young man… but there were always motorcycles to help. Bikes were the magic door to a technicolour future away from the magnolia walls of his council house existence. He promises: “You’ll laugh, maybe even cry a little – and say: he really didn’t do that…?!”
